It all started last summer when I took my daughters to the local outdoor pool. When I took off my towel to step into the water, I noticed they avoided being around me. My excessive weight embarrassed them. I was devastated and hurt. I realized then that I needed to do something to address my weight problem. Christine Dreher, a nutritionist, author and herbalist showed me how to change my life in a positive way through her wonderful site, Christine’s Cleanse Corner. I learned how whole foods are the best source of nutrition for the body, and that the best source of nutrition is vitamins and minerals. Now, I pay attention to what I put into my mouth. I choose whole foods that contain necessary proteins, fats, carbohydrates, fiber, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other micronutrients to improve my health and well being.
Also, I have begun the Perfect Weight America program, which has been such a blessing in my life and has truly made a difference. The program has educated me about how to change my diet and my life by helping me eat for my “perfect weight,” and how to customize my plan according to my body type, age, gender and geographic region. I have been able to maximize my intake of nutrients, while lowering my calorie consumption. This has helped me engage in healthy weight loss.
